I bought a Blu-ray from a seller on Rakuten (France). I don't speak French but I managed to navigate their site, it wasn't the first time I'd purchased an item from them.
The Blu-ray was described as 'like new' but when it arrived it had scratches on the playing surface of the disc which were clearly visible.
I managed to message the seller twice but received no reply, so I tried to contact Rakuten, which I found to be extremely difficult. After a week of trying, at last I managed to explain my problem on their message system to someone who spoke English, but they were totally unconcerned and unsympathetic.
I was told that I had accepted the item and the seller had been paid, so there was nothing they could do.
Other companies put the buyer first, Rakuten put their sellers first. I won't be using them again.
User's recommendation: Unless you speak French, don't even think about it.
